GlaxoSmithKline Consumer
Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its
financial results for the quarter ended March
31, 2009. For the first quarter, sales at Rs.
5,39,37 Lacs were up by 31.3 %, with PBT growing
by 53.3 % to Rs. 1,32,37 Lacs and PAT growing by
48.4 % to Rs. 83,89 Lacs.
In its Golden Jubilee year,
the Company also declared final dividend @
Rs.5.00 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the
year ended 31 December 2008.
The year 2009 started with
the introduction of HORLICKS NUTRIBAR, a
nutritional snack for health conscious people.
The product has been very well received by
consumers. alike and the initial off-take
reports are extremely encouraging. Soon
thereafter ActiGrow, a high protein content baby
food, was also launched during the quarter. This
marks a very good beginning to what promises to
be an action packed year of new product
introductions.
Riding the 2009 IPL fever,
Boost tied-up with Rajasthan Royals as its
"official energy drink" partner.
