Q3 2011 Sales up 18%
GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Limited (GSKCH) today declared its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2011. For the third quarter, the company reported an impressive sales growth of 18% over 2010. For the third quarter, net sales were at ¬¬¬Rs 720 crores, with PBT growing by 30% to Rs. 153 crores and PAT growing by 31% to Rs. 103 crores for the same period.
Commenting on the results, Mr Zubair Ahmed, MD, GSKCH said, “. Our growth in the last quarter reflects the confidence the consumers have in our brands and we will continue the growth impetus of our Consumer Healthcare business with a consistent focus on innovation across all our brands”
The highlights of the quarter have been the launch of new variants of brands as well as innovative marketing initiatives.
